Restaurant worthy, I says. What’s in this? Cauliflower, spinach, tomato, potato, chickpea, onion, and peppers. The sauce is made from coconut milk + cayenne pepper + veg broth + curry powder + brown sugar.

Signing Off,

I had no idea how easy it is to make your own yam or sweet potato fries. Seriously easy.

So I looked online for instructions and the first listing fit my style: Yam Fries

baking sheet

1 sweet potato
2 yams
1-2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. ground coriander
1/4 tsp. pepper

Wash potatoes & yams. Slice into thin strips.

Take the olive oil, cumin, coriander and pepper and mix together in a medium bowl.
I had to ground my own coriander, as I only had whole ones, so it looks a bit rough in the picture. My hand got tired from grinding it myself. 😉

Place the potato & yam strips in the bowl and coat with the mixture. Then lay the strips on a baking sheet.

Bake in the oven, at 425, for 15-20 min.

And we’re done. I served it last night with some fresh tomato soup. Nom nom nom!

The boyfriend attempted to make our first all-alkaline meal recently. He decided to go with a warm salad with a base of broccoli and sweet potato.
We’re on our way to achieving a pH balanced body! See this chart for alkaline producing foods: acid-alkaline-food-chart.

It was such a tasty success I must post to the Recipes section too, so you readers can learn how to make it as well.
