We got some tips from a gardener friend of ours. To prep for a 2012 planting season, he recommended that we mix in turkey manure & seaweed to add excellent nutrients to our soil.

We got the turkey manure from Edward’s Turkey Farm, in Richmond.

We got the seaweed off the Centennial Beach, right before the Tsawwassen ferry terminal.

The backyard is looking delicious!

Happy Gardening,

We are out of the condo and back in a house. What does that mean?
We have a backyard and a garden to take care of.

First step: insert compost!

The Anna plant (aka. Spinach plant) has sprouted finally! I’ve got my Spinach, Radish, Beet plants growing strong.
Now on to potting up & giving them some nitrogen/phosphorus/potassium strength!

The Naomi plant (aka. Beet plant) has sprouted too! What I first thought was lint, turned out to be a red sprout. I’m birthing plants left and right, this is great!

The Ryan plant (aka. Radish plant) started to sprout this morning! It’s been 3 days since it was first planted.

Imagine me this morning, watering the plants, and I get to The Ryan, and see these small little sprouts. I then proceed to run to my camera saying “OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG this is so exciting!!”.

I’m thrilled, to say the least.

That is all.

It’s the start of my new garden, out on my small condo patio. Wish me luck, I really need it!

Spinach, Beets & Radishes (named after the KinseyKid that helped me plant each one).
